Our Education for Allies conference kicks off with a training session on LGBTQIAP2+ Identity, Inclusion and Injustice. Led by the Reverend Doctor Raven Clarissa Rowe, D.Min., BCC, this training will be geared towards providing information for individuals involved in the compassionate care of children and youth. We will be exploring the many letters of the queer alphabet, including discussion of gender identity, gender presentation, and gender attribution as well as sexual orientation. Queer identity, queer theory, and queer theology will be explored. Training will be geared towards equipping individuals to be allies for inclusion and to inspire resistance against the injustices that the LGBTQIAP2+ community currently faces.
