The Feeding Friends outreach program is dedicated to providing food to families and individuals within the community who are in need of such services.
NOTE: Feeding Friends will be open and operating on Tuesday, July 2 instead of our normal day of Thursday, July 4, due to the holiday.
Information for clients
Feeding Friends deals with hunger issues and is Harmony Creek’s weekly food pantry. Our food pantry is a “choice” pantry.
Food assistance is limited to households within zip codes 45429, 45440, 45458 and 45459.
When you come, bring evidence of your address, including a piece of mail and a photo ID.
All clients must fill out and sign the eligibility form from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. This form requires you to self-declare that you fall within the income limits specified on the form.
If you need food and live in one of the above ZIP codes, you may come once every four weeks either on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. or on the third Saturday of the month from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
If you live in a ZIP code other than those listed above, there are other food pantries that serve your area. If you do not know where to get help, please call the United Way Helplink at 211 or 225-3000.
If you have questions about our food pantry, you can call our church office at 937-434-3941.
Our hope is that we will be able to have pantry as regularly scheduled, in spite of weather conditions. However, we may determine that we need to delay or cancel the pantry because of bad weather. If that happens, we will put an announcement on the church’s voicemail to alert you to any change in plans. If there is bad weather, please call 937-434-3941 to check for an announcement. If there is none, you can assume we are operating as usual.
To volunteer, contact us at email@example.com.
Volunteers are needed when the pantry is open on Thursday evenings and on the third Saturday of the month. Volunteers are also needed at other times to help with food deliveries and other tasks. Volunteers help with greeting, intake, assisting shoppers, bagging groceries, and clean up. Youth volunteers accompanied by an adult are welcome to join.
